Information for managers

  • Managers should take action in line with the covid-19 protocols. Like any other illness, managers should seek to obtain the appropriate medical evidence to support the absence.
  • Managers are encouraged to use a common sense approach in terms of evidence (although not necessarily a medical certificate).
  • There is an additional requirement that medical clearance will be required for the employee to return to work.
  • The manager is also required to advise Admin as soon as they are aware of an employee being diagnosed.
  • We will notify close contacts as is appropriate to ensure appropriate isolation arrangements can be made. We are committed to the health and wellbeing of all our staff.
